About Kotopig

Kotopig is a growing collection of free image tools that run entirely in your web browser. There is no upload, no sign-up, and no catch — you open a tool, drop in a file, and get your result in seconds.

Why we built it

Most "online image tools" quietly upload your photos to a server you know nothing about. For something as personal as your photos, that never sat right with us. Modern browsers are powerful enough to compress, convert, resize, crop and watermark images locally — so that's exactly what Kotopig does. Your files stay on your device, full stop.

How it works

Each tool uses standard browser technologies — the Canvas API and WebAssembly — to process images on your own hardware. Because there's no round-trip to a server, the tools are fast, work on huge files, and even keep working if your connection drops after the page loads.
