Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every operation runs entirely inside your browser using your device's own processor. Your files never leave your computer, so the tool works even with the page disconnected from the internet after loading.
What color formats does it give me?
Each pixel is shown as HEX (e.g. #3b82f6), RGB and HSL, with a one-click copy button for whichever format you need.
How does the dominant color palette work?
Kotopig samples the image, groups similar colors and returns the most frequent ones as a palette. Click any swatch to copy its HEX code.
Can I pick colors from a screenshot or logo?
Yes. Any image your browser can open works — photos, screenshots, logos and exported designs are all supported.
Is the color reading accurate?
Colors are read directly from the image's pixels, so the values are exact. Note that JPG compression can slightly shift colors in the original file itself.
