Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Every operation runs entirely inside your browser using your device's own processor. Your files never leave your computer, so the tool works even with the page disconnected from the internet after loading.
Which formats can I compress?
JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported. You can also convert while compressing, e.g. PNG → WebP for the smallest size.
Will compression ruin the quality?
No. You control the quality slider and a live preview shows the result before you download. For photos, 70–80% quality is usually indistinguishable from the original.
Is there a file-size or count limit?
There is no hard limit because processing happens on your own device. Very large images (50MP+) are resized in a background worker so the page stays responsive.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The compressor is fully responsive and works in Safari, Chrome and other modern mobile browsers.
